News: Activities       Casa di accoglienza "Il Carmine": Carmelite Friars are present at San Felice del Benaco, in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, which enjoys its splendid location among the olive groves and overlooking beautiful Lake Garda. They offer a complete range of liturgical functions, from that of the ordinary celebrations and spiritual guidance , to that of receiving guests and proposing cultural activities. A warm and familiar atmosphere pervades the Guest House, annexed to the Sanctuary , and satisfies the need for bodily rest and spiritual comfort, for those who desire these. Located in a tranquil area, the Guest House is easily reached by local highways. The completely renovated Guest House offers 3 lifts, favouring the needs of the physically disabled. The 60 rooms can accommodate up to 120 guests in comfortable single and double rooms, each with a private bath, telephone, fridge and TV. Each room enjoys a breath-taking view of Lake Garda and the surrounding olive groves. As for meals, our guests will find a snack-bar and our restaurant services in the “ Ristorante Fontana Monte”, a spacious, well-lit area, that can seat up to 200 people. Contributing to its welcoming mood, there is a large fire-place, as well. The ample parking area, where tourism coaches can be parked, is situated amidst the olive groves. At the centre of the Guest House is the original, picturesque monastery cloister. Confessions are heard daily between : 9:00 and 11:30 a.m. and from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. ( Summer-time:7:00). Holy Mass on Sundays and Holy Days: 7:30 a.m. ( 7:00 in the period between 15th June and 15th September ) 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ( Summer-time. 6:00 ) 9:00 p.m. in the period between 15th June and 15th September Daily Mass: 5:00 p.m. ( Summer-time: 6:00 ), preceded by the recital of the Holy Rosary 7:20 a.m. Celebration of the Morning Hymns Vespers are celebrated during the evening Eucharistic Celebration. Holy Day Functions and Celebrations: On the fourth Sunday of July , the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is celebrated with a Procession bearing Her statue from our Sanctuary to the Parish Church. The Feast is preceded by a Solemn Novena to Our Lady. Throughout the year, a wide variety of cultural activities, including concerts, art exhibits and theatrical representations, are held here.
